The site where I first heard about getting your ashes converted into diamonds is at this site here. I must say though, getting something ilke that done is pretty expensive! You have to choose details like colours and carats and such. But can you imagine the reading of my will? “And X% of the ashes from her cremation will be converted into a diamond to be set into a ring and then…” Oh boy, that’ll be fun!

But another post about how things will be when I die and how I plan on terrorizing my loved ones after my death? I shouldn’t. Besides, what’s the point of letting them know that I’ve been planning on it for ages? Might as well let them have a bit of a surprise, eh?

But yesterday was fun, my family and I went to my uncle and aunt’s for dinner. She loves shoving food onto us because apparently last night, she thought we looked underweight. Hence, a lot of food. And it was all really good, so it was fun. Plus, she makes California rolls (imitation crab meat + avacado) but they’re huge and one piece fills up a bowl. Ahh, bliss. I want sushi for dinner again, that was nice. So after dinner, my sister and I usually go into the living room and do our own thing given that the “adults” sit in the kitchen and talk family gossip and whatnot. They talk about the health of abroad relatives, about a recent tests for one of my aunts (my family’s medical history is quite… diverse, shall I say), and about my uncle and aunt’s grand kids (brats, the whole lot of them!). They were talking about how one of my second cousins has a “little girlfriend” that they bribed him $50 with to break up with because she wasn’t “acceptable”. Yeah… My uncle and aunt are underhanded at times. But during this (which we could hear, because they talk loudly), my sister and I were in the living room. She was working on her star blanket (in three different shades of brown, it looks nice), I listened to music (from a somewhat popular Canadian music channel as I’d forgotten my mp3 player at home) and studied (biology).

And today… What can I say about Sunday? I studied. A lot. Did a little photography. Posted a couple pair of earrings up onto Chelle-Chelle.com. Kicked my sister’s butt at Scrabble. Oh yeah, Happy Easter (or something like that) to whomever celebrates it. I hope your Easter is full of chocolate, bunnies, marshmallows, eggs and chicks. Or whatever.

  1. Haha it’s Easter Monday here. Obviously you had a fun time! I went to some party yesterday. That was.. boring, really. I wrote five poems through that time.. could have written more. xD

I have not played Scrabble in a while. I think we lost a lot of the pieces. ^_^

  2. It’s sounds like you had an awesome time! It’s always so nice when family get togethers go so well.

Sushi is one of my ultimate favorite foods. And I always take up an opportunity to make a (vegan mock) California roll.

  3. Haha, sounds like it was quite a fun time. XD Getting ones ashes turned into a diamond and then giving it to a family member is a little…creepy. o_o I’d be weirded out to wear a piece of jewelry made of a dead person. But that’s just me. XD

A happy Easter (or whatever :P) to you too! ^_^

  4. I’m glad you had a nice time. I always lose at Scrabble. I guess it’s because I was a math major. I’ll beat everyone at games with numbers! Yeah! 😛
