8 more work days! (Can you tell that I’m counting down?)

On the school front – I have not gotten a response yet regarding that ‘unpaid registration fee’ for the summer term (obviously, I did not take any courses during the summer and it should have been removed from my account ages ago). I need to have it removed soon, as I plan on paying for my tuition (September-December) term this weekend (as it needs a few business days to be fully processed). Yay, paying tuition, whoot?

I’ve been kept busy with work today, at work. I was tempted to actually bring home work today because I hardly got as much done today as I wanted to. But… I didn’t, because I didn’t really want to do work at home (but I know I need to get it done – deadlines!). I was busy with 2 meetings (and driving between Building A and Building B) and sketching out designs and getting things commented and suggestions on. People are too damn agreeable sometimes, sigh.

And the damn highlight of my day? I got roped into the longest conversation of my life with someone that I don’t even like. Gahh, I felt like ripping my hair out after that conversation because the person that I don’t like? SO full of himself and was telling me about how he compares to Einstein and how he took an IQ test once and the tester told him that he was a genius and whatnot. Ugh. This is the person who told me that 40 multiplied by 4 was 400. Right before he told me that he was a certified genius. It took all the will power I had not to go and hit my head against the cement wall. Because anyone who thinks that 40 by 4 (160) is 400 needs to a) get their head examined, b) go back to fourth grade math and c) stop referring to themselves as a genius.

Now, the reason why it was the longest conversation of my life is because I think I’m too polite sometimes and I just get a little uncertain about telling someone to STFU, especially in at work. In hindsight, I really wish that I had. Mostly because it was just so damn long and all I needed was to ask one question and it turned into a spiel of how he’s a catch and how all women love him and whatnot. *gags*

    4. Winter vacation. LOL. And AION Online being released in September.

  2. Oh what a terrible annoying man. I absolutely despise arrogant people, and if anything, that whole 40 by 4 thing… yes, he needs to get his head checked. :O And I most certainly wouldn’t be taking his word about all this genius crap at all.

It reminds me of this girl who attends the place I work; she’s absolutely awful at basic subtraction. Simple things like 300-50, or 345-45… she gets it all wrong. *facepalm*

I probably need to set myself to a timetable or something, because I am just terrible at organising my time now. 🙁

What is one thing that you’re looking forward to from September to December?
Good question. I don’t really know. Hopefully we’ll have a date for NZ by then.

  6. I can guess who that was…

    1. Um had to? School books I guess. They cost more than staying in a hostel, which was going to be my other expense.
    2. Getting home. 18 hours in victoria was not worth the ten hours it took to get there and back.
    3. Same day as yours =) And just to be slightly smug, my last exam is December 11th.
    4. Everything. Hopefully not working on weekends all the time, my birthday and having Carolyn back to hang out with. It looks like it’s going to be an awesomely eventful year.

  7. A countdown, no rly? Hadn’t noticed. 😛

    1. Gas. For the car. I don’t… pay for flatulence. But we needed gas. For… the car. And that’s super-expensive these days.
    2. Waking up to my boyfriend watching X-Men 3 trailers with the volume turned up to 110% although he could SEE I was sleeping on the couch right next to the speaker. F-n a-hole.
    3. I haz graduatedz.
    4. All the different events to celebrate! My birthday, Halloween, “little Christmases”, Christmas, New Year’s Eve…

  8. Aww! I still like the name Michelle. In my parents’ baby name book, they had a list of popular baby names and they included Sarah and Jessica. And yes, I’m kind of glad my parents put thought into my name. :3
