KristiDeena – I have no clue who sent the weird email (besides their first name – which I removed because it seemed like a ‘unique’ name and to protect the privacy of stupid people and all –  and no, I didn’t reply to it.

Work went reasonably well yesterday. I say reasonably I was productive, I got my work done early. I went home, changed, and then drove out to go and see Clay last night. Which was fun. We hung out and watched tv and just talked a lot. He fed me dinner and we just got caught up a bit. I mean, we text on a daily basis and we talk loads, but it’d been a while since we’d just hung out, so it was nice. We had mini pizzas and pop for dinner (super nutritious, eh? But he gave me a choice and that’s what I picked) and watched random shows that I can’t even remember the titles of anywhere (there was some guy who hunted for, killed, cooked and ate some kind of snake on one of the shows), but they were entertaining. Besides, I hadn’t seen him for an entire week – it took a lot not to just pounce on him and kiss him senseless as soon as I saw him, I have amazing restraint (if I do say so myself!). ♥♥♥

My sister J and I went shopping today! Which was fun. My parents wrote out a cheque for me to pay tuition as school starts in just over a week (crap). I can pay for my tuition to my school via a bank where I don’t have an account, but my parents do. So they pay for my tuition initially and I pay them back at a later day when one of them and I can go to the bank and I can transfer the amount into their account – at the bank where I do have an account. Why did I just explain all of that? I don’t know (perhaps I’m just bored?). But anyways, I still need to buy my textbooks (ugh) and people are being kinda crap at actually listing books that I need for the upcoming term on any textbook selling sites that normally work quite well for me. I need 2 biology textbooks (+ 1 lab manual), 1 chemistry book and 1 psychology book (I checked out the covers of everything online so I know what I’m searching for – the book that I need for my infant psychology class is the most adorable thing ever, there’s a photo of a smiling baby on the cover and I get to look at that all term, I’m rather pleased now). I still want to get a few coiled notebooks since they’re so dead useful, but other than that (and textbooks), I’m pretty much set for the start of term (… clothes shopping, but that’s not absolutely necessary).

After the bank trip, my sister and I went to the crafts store. She picked up more pink yarn (she’s been working on a crocheted Pink Panther for the last three months or so and then she ran into a roadblock with running out of yarn) and I browsed the clearance section of the beads and such to see if there was anything I wanted. Well, there was lot that I would have liked (although I wasn’t sure if it was because the price made it all look so damn attractive or because I actually wanted them). But I dug around and found 2 things that I had eyed before (and liked!) and they were both at 60% off, so I bought them (shell beads and an etched shell pendant). I know, I know, I own enough beads to never have to buy any more for like ever, but… they were so pretty. And I have plans already in my head for those! I also bought tacky glue as that’s the recommended glue for gluing eye chips back into Blythe eyes.

So yeah, my weekend’s been fabulous so far! Time with Clay, shopping for craft supplies (and didn’t spend a whole lot either – I love clearance events) and I also got my first email from one of my professors for the upcoming term (regarding room number changes – thank you, Classroom Services). All in all, it’s been a fairly decent weekend so far.

Questions for you:

  1. When is the last time you bought any craft supplies? (What was it?)
  2. What movie are you looking forward to (that has not come out yet) that’s coming out in 2009?
  3. What are some happy songs that you like (and would recommend)?

My answers:

  1. Today! Yarn, beads, pendant and glue.
  2. Not sure – I need to pay more attention to trailers…
  3. And… I can’t think of anything (which is why I asked the question).

What movie are you looking forward to (that has not come out yet) that’s coming out in 2008?
    – Michelle, dearest, is 2009 last time I checked. I don’t know the names of stuff I wanna see.. I haven’t paid attention. I know District 9 is out but I wanna see it.

What are some happy songs that you like (and would recommend)?
    – Um.. can’t think of anything ‘happy’ but I like Burn It to the Ground by Nickelback right now.

  2. Haha I just read that last blog of yours… reminds me of when some random guy (ugly picture included) added me to MSN and said “I want to be your friend (F)” … yeah, with the flower emoticon. 😐

Awww, that’s so sweet! I’m glad you had a lovely time with Clay. 🙂

Haha, that would be a cute textbook to look at all the time. :3

With my university fees, my parents pay a 500 dollar deposit each semester and the rest gets deferred, so when I get a job with tax or something, much later in the future, they gradually take it from my account. It’s quite convenient.

I want to see the Pink Panther your sister is making. I bet it’s really cute!

Hmm… a year ago or so, maybe. I think I was buying some wool to make pom poms.
    2. What movie are you looking forward to (that has not come out yet) that’s coming out in 2008?
I would like to see “Away We Go” since I saw the trailer online. It comes out here in September.
    3. What are some happy songs that you like (and would recommend)?
Johnny B Goode – Chuck Berry. That one makes me dance… and so does You To Me Are Everything by The Real Thing. Oldies. 🙂

  3. Aww time with your man. 🙂 Glad y’all had a good time together, and I’m very proud of you for not attacking him! 😛

Well, lets see… I haven’t had time or extra money in quite a while..so it was last summer. Stuff for my wedding. We made a lot of the stuff used in the wedding (including my dress which was amazing, made by my grandma)
    2. What movie are you looking forward to (that has not come out yet) that’s coming out in 2008?
First of all..I’m lost most of the time..but I’m pretty sure you mean 2010? 😉 And I haven’t paid a lot of attention lately..but I guess the last one I paid attention to that I would like to see is The Time Travelers Wife. But I still want to read the book first!
    3. What are some happy songs that you like (and would recommend)?
No idea. I’ve been listening to clasic rock quite a bit lately..but I never know the names of songs…just the lyrics. 🙂

  4. I am glad you had a fun time shopping and at the craft store. I always have a fun time at the craft store. Now you’re making me want to go on a craft spree again! Ahhhh!

When is the last time you bought any craft supplies? (What was it?)
Oh my gosh. It was months ago now! It was embroidery thread for making friendship bracelets.

What movie are you looking forward to (that has not come out yet) that’s coming out in 2009?
I am horrible at keeping up with movies. That is all.

What are some happy songs that you like (and would recommend)?
I’ve been listening a lot to a band called Boards of Canada lately. Look up anything by them on YouTube sometime and give it a listen. It’s chill music. Good for background music… and CRAFTING.
