I got up and went to school this morning and after one hour of lecture (my literature class got canceled, made me rather sad), I headed to the mall and went shopping. I didn’t buy anything particularly exciting. I bought stuffing and I bought some other craft supplies and then I got some of the things for Clay’s birthday present… I had some issues with one of the parts – let’s just say that I could find it technically, but it was in French and not English. So umm, he’s getting a rain check for that! And after I finished wrapping things today, I realized everything fits into a theme (a rather childish one at that) and I didn’t realize it until I was done wrapping. Oh, epic fail for Michelle.

Anyways, life’s been rather mundane today. I’m currently surrounded by craft supplies. I have three different crochet hooks to my left, scissors, two yarn needles and five stitch markers to my right. Around my chair I have five different bags and each contains a different ball of yarn (various colours). And I’ve surrounded myself so nicely that the only way that I can get away from my chair (besides moving things aside) is to stand on my chair and kind of hop off (… there’s quite the layer of stuff around me). This is not including the wrapping paper, the tape, the ribbons and the box full of coloured markers. It’s like I built myself a fort out of art and craft supplies, which is kind of cool.

My father’s been driving me absolutely insane today. When I left the house this morning, I had closed the door to my room. I get home and the door is wide open, the window is open (so it was freezing, thanks dad) and there’s a lot of things that have been moved. For instance, I don’t leave my medication on the floor, it’s always on my desk. My alarm clock was facing the other way. He’d gone through my tax forms for 2008 (I had it all neatly back into the folder that I’ve been keeping everything in, it was open on my bed and the forms were laid out like someone had been reading them). And the last major thing that I noticed is that he built something out of my organic chem set? I mean I get that they’re all fun and you can connect them all together to build really neat molecules, but I looked at what he had built and it wasn’t a recognizable molecule at all…

Questions:

  1. What’s one crafty thing that you’ve done recently?

  2. How much random assorted items are currently around your computer? What are they?

  3. If you live with someone (or many someones), how often do you find that people have gone through your things?

    My answers:

    1. I made a card. And I have an awesome way of displaying it on top of the present.

    2. I believe I’ve listed this above…

    3. Often… Especially when people can’t put my things back where they belong and it drives me insane. Invasion of privacy and I can never find things where they’re supposed to be.
