@ Dane – Please don’t suggest things like that. You’re going to make me feel nauseous.

@ Risa – I should totally use that logic on the guys at work the next time that they say that I look like I’m 12. Thanks!

Happy Thursday everyone!! Hope you’ve all been having a good day. I had such a painful time getting to sleep last night. I got into bed at around 11pm or so, but I spent the majority of the time lying in bed and staring at my (boring) ceiling. Which really sucked, considering I get up at 6:30am for work (at 8am). I was still up (and didn’t sleep at all….) past 3am. I went to bed sometime before 4am and woke up (for work, of course) at 6:30am. So the first couple of hours of being “awake” after my nap dragged on. For. Freaking. Ever.

I had to go and ask questions from the guys from work, so I went to find someone and found D and K. D went “You look like crap” and K went “Maybe she’s got the swine flu”. (Great compliments at 8:05am, thanks guys.) Which got laughter (from them, not from me). But my questions were eventually answered and then I disappeared to my cubicle for the majority of the day. I only left my cube to print things (my computer is still not hooked up to a printer, and I’ve asked the computer person – as my computer needs to be connected to the printer’s network… or something. My computer is basically an island in the middle of a vast empty sea and everyone else’s computers are hanging out in a cute little cafe in a city, all hooked up via WiFi), for water (… D tried to spike my water with coffee and thought I wouldn’t notice the change in colour), for lunch, for sugar cubes and for returning documents that I may have borrowed without permission from a certain filing cabinet that people don’t like me being in (because I’m me).

Lately, I’ve been reevaluating my educational goals. Well, sort of. My goal is to still be a nurse and it’s still to help patients and work in a health care environment. That part hasn’t changed. However, the program itself? I’m thinking about it. I’m still planning on applying for my school’s nursing program and another big one in British Columbia as well. But then there’s a few other schools that I’m considering. Some of those are community colleges, where I’d be completing the program for LPN rather than RN. Some of those are other universities, one of them is in British Columbia and the others are out-of-province. It’s a lot to consider and a lot to think about. But I haven’t made any decisions yet, but I’m keeping an open mind about schools and locations right now. I do want to stay where I am right now, and I have a ‘number one’ choice still that hasn’t changed. But I’m attempting to be flexible with the options that I can consider. I won’t be making any decisions about where I’m applying to until probably about November (just in time for my birthday, yay?) and I’m going to narrow down my choices to five schools (… because it’s going to cost, at minimum, probably about $100 per application and I’m not made of money!). Maybe. Hopefully.

And… I’ve been working on revamping Chelle-Chelle.com so it’s less like ImaginarySunshine. Since there’s a lot of things I want to do with that site and the current layout doesn’t work well for it. So it is going to be redone quite a bit. I have the basic structure done so far, but I need to make a lot of pages for it, so I’m not sure when that’ll get done. It’s going to stay looking the way it currently looks like until I get it done.

Questions:

  1. Tell me, honestly: How was your Thursday? Good? Bad? Mediocre? Not worth mentioning?

  2. Do you have any weird quirks that revolve around candy?

  3. What is the single most cutest thing that your significant other has ever done? (And you can only name one!)

    My answers:

    1. Started out pretty crappy, but it mellowed out eventually.

    2. I love Skittles, but I prefer not to eat the grape, banana and cherry Skittles. When eating M&Ms or Smarties, I pour them out and group them by colour before eating them (one colour group at a time, starting with the group with the most).

    3. I don’t think he’d appreciate me sharing this one, hehehe. I’ve been referring to it as “that cute thing” since it happened. So I plead the fifth to my own question.
