If I had to write up something about why I should get paid for the hours that I worked today, I would mention the fact that I proofread coding in the databases at work, the fact that I was triple-checking the coding done by two people who graduated from a school with degrees in computer science and should actually know how to spell things like “ejection” and “pressure” and “temperature”. I’ve been working on this project since May, on and off (but lately it’s been on), and while I realize that I’ve contributed data collection and super-proofreading skills… My little baby’s not ready to be out and about and being used (it’s a program). Mostly because people fail and can’t spell and things don’t print properly.<\/p>\n
It’s been an incredibly long work day… I literally spent my entire afternoon looking at coding. Talk about learning on the job…<\/p>\n
