Work’s been a bit stressful today… Which really sucked. It did not help that I was preoccupied with something that was related to work (but not at the same time)… It’s complicated.\u00a0 So yeah, work went very slowly today and overall it kinda sucked. I did get some stuff done, but not nearly as much as I wanted. I did a lot of research and emailed a dozen companies during work yesterday<\/em>, but I only had 1 company email me back with a quote for the parts I wanted (for the project that I’m doing – yay for being vague).<\/p>\n Oh, and I got this total gem of an email in my inbox yesterday from a UK email address:<\/p>\n Hello dear Lack of spaces, capital letters, commas and proper spacing of any sort… All original, I just copied and pasted it from my email. The person apparently found my email from a fanlisting (I went to that fanlisting to check – my email was<\/em> listed, but it isn’t any longer).<\/p>\n I have never had anyone randomly pull my email from a fanlisting and then proceed to email me and ask me if I’ll be their friend<\/em>. In a way, it just seems so forward and rude. It’d be like me going up to a random stranger on the street and going “Hi! Want to be my friend?” Which would be probably socially acceptable if I was under the age of 5, but it still seems rude and forward reading it in an email. I’m not quite sure what to make of it, honestly. Have you ever gotten such a random and kinda awkwardly written email before? Ugh, weird people…<\/p>\n And, to end up on a good note (for once?), my dad’s been super awesome. Back when I was looking for my first camera (as in – only belongs to me!), I really<\/em> wanted to get a DSLR, but because it was a gift from my parents for Christmas, they didn’t wanted to spend too much and I got a point-and-shoot camera instead (Sony Cybershot W150). Which is nice as well, and it fits into my small purse. But because I was still interested in SLRs, my dad gave me the old film SLR cameras (a Nikon and a Pentax), the camera bag and all the lenses and filters that we have for them. Which was really cool and I love it, but I hadn’t gotten around to buying film. So when my dad gave me some unused rolls of film, I got a little confused. But he’s really taken to the fact that I’m interested in photography (since he’s the one that bought the SLRs and all the lenses and filters and such) and has spent time sitting down with me and going over what all the different filters do.
