Strawberry Sauce (for crepes)

Ingredients:

  • 1 quart strawberries, hulled and sliced (approx. 4 cups or 1L)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 orange, zest finely grated

Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a pot, turn the stove on at about medium heat.
Bring the contents to a simmer, stir gently until the berries release juice.
The sauce will thicken when it cools.
