Mellow weekend, sans marshmallows

Haha it’s Easter Monday here. Obviously you had a fun time! I went to some party yesterday. That was.. boring, really. I wrote five poems through that time.. could have written more. xD

I have not played Scrabble in a while. I think we lost a lot of the pieces. ^_^

Hilarity ensued

Hahaha there was that woman who put her son’s ashes into a ring.. I thought that was.. strange. Happy birthday to your mum!

The pros and cons to detox from school

Best of luck to your sister! *crosses fingers*

Oh, hahahha. Well, I shall see at the end of the semester if there are any standing ovations. I am always laughing at the rustle of paper that occurs at ten minutes to the hour.. xD

I always forget to pack lunch T_T but then James pays for lunch. YAY!

1. Name one website that you go on every single day, without fail (unless, of course, you have an internet or power failure). Why?
No, it’s not weird to say ‘my sites’. In fact, that would be my answer. I visit Hotmail to check my mail. Yep..

2. Whatโ€™s one thing that you dislike about Facebook, Myspace, Twitter or any other social-networking website where you have an account?
Idiot people sending you stuff, etc. And people making a big deal out of it when I don’t.. make a big deal out of it.

3. Whatโ€™s one animal that youโ€™d like to see in plushie format?
You mean one that already isn’t? :S Since you said fish.. I will say koifish. ^_^

Party-going in the early afternoon?

Haha, my mum, dad and brother all wear glasses. I suppose I am lucky! ๐Ÿ˜› And my other relatives don’t have such great eyesight either XD

» Posted By Georgina On April 9, 2009 @ 6:27 pm

Haha. I CALL IT FAIRY FLOSS, not cotton candy. Will you respect that? ;p unlike other people who kept telling me it was ‘cotton candy’. I’m Australian, therefore I call it fairy floss. -_-

Anyhow ๐Ÿ˜€ Standing ovations. I have not yet seen anything of the sort. Usually we clap at the end of a lecture, especially if it’s by the professor and not just the boring subject coordinator. xD

1. If youโ€™re currently attending school, when was your last day of classes?
Well.. for uni, I’m on my mid-semester break now. It’s not really the end of term or semester.

2. When is your last final exam?
Haha I have no exams for my subjects this semester.

3. What are your plans for the summer term(s)?
It’s nearly winter.. but I plan to do some extra work in this break.

4. From September until now, whatโ€™s one thing that youโ€™ve done that youโ€™re happy with?
Hmmmm. I got into uni, after all. XD

RPG pet peeves & studying

Haha a common name, indeed. I knew two Michelles in high school! But not like I’d find you on Facebook because I don’t have one, and I can find you at IS. ^_^ And I am not a creep who looks up people on Google.. other than myself LOL.. just curious as to what comes up.

Oh, oh – hilariously enough, James suddenly remembered that his boss had the last name Foucault – when I mentioned Michel Foucault. I was totally like ‘omg, are they related’ (immature I know, haha that was such a Georgie moment).. and when I looked up his boss’ name, we found out that he was a failed opera singer in his past years. AHAHAHA.

» Posted By Georgina On April 3, 2009 @ 11:16 pm

Hahahaha. So incredibly unprofessional. I would be sick of reading that sort of crap too, honestly.

Particularly the one about the word limit thing. And the typos.. I think I’d freak. I’m not really into RPGs and never quite understood them, admittedly.

Two hours is a lot of time for fifty questions. Are you allowed to walk out? I remember in my HSC exams a lot of people just walked out. xD

» Posted By Georgina On April 3, 2009 @ 10:42 pm

“$490! He totally loves me!” -gag-

Hahaha. Only my mum would look up something like that; she concluded that James got me a bracelet that was $60. Er.. so? So.. so what? Ah, so silly of J.. but if that’s how she sees things. xD

I spent $100 on James’s present. Who cares right? Because I’m pretty sure that over the course of our relationship, he spent way more than that on me. And judging by the price, in conclusion, is a little bit low. ๐Ÿ˜›

I get front row seats when I am late. XD but that is where I like to sit anyway.

My English paper isn’t writing itself…

Wooo, we’re in the essay dump together. You’re doing great too ๐Ÿ™‚

I have no idea how to reference a bible. I never thought about it! Perhaps just like a normal book. Even though author and year is not known :S. I hope you find out soon :S

» Posted By Georgina On March 22, 2009 @ 5:17 pm

I’m not a sponge!

Eeeeek! That’s a lot of water in FIVE minutes. I mean, I can drink maybe 400ml, but not 800. That’s insane. There was a woman who entered a competition to drink the most water in a small period of time, and she ended up dead. ๐Ÿ˜

I don’t know how far you are from that uni, but here, when we say “local”, we mean kind of in the same city/state. :S

1. Whatโ€™s the earliest that you have to get up during the week?
6:00-6:30
2. Do you have a dream school that youโ€™d want to attend if you could (and if money wasnโ€™t an issue)?
Not really. I LOVE my uni.
3. Whatโ€™s your dream career (realistic and unrealistic)?
Realistic: doing computery/media type stuff and dealing with people. Enjoying it, getting some good pay. Good hours.
Unrealistic: Working whenever I want, getting paid to maintain my OWN site. Epic woot. Hmm. I think that could be realistic..
4. If youโ€™ve had the flu recently, how long did it take you to get over the damn cough?
Not recently; don’t remember the last time I had it :S

In which Monday was rather dull, but I wrote about it anyways

Haha, oh dear. Looks like you’ll need to stick the post-it note elsewhere. ^_^ But it’s happened.. multiple times I’ve typed my password “wrong” when caps lock was on, or something.

Hopefully those books will come soon. I think most libraries are nice like that with our requests. ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh, yes, of course.. regarding the comment you left on my blog. But I do not take saying ‘rape me’ as some form of that. :S

So that was Friday?

Oh, hahaha. You know what molecule pissed me off? CH3COOH. Like, WTF. My teacher never explained to me that molecules didn’t have to combine! Hurk! Well. ๐Ÿ˜

You have so many craft supplies it makes me want to do something crafty ๐Ÿ˜› I can imagine all this colourful yarn and everything hehee.

1. Whatโ€™s one crafty thing that youโ€™ve done recently?
HAHA.. nothing? I mean, I edited a video for homework, but..
2. How much random assorted items are currently around your computer? What are they?
A lot. Pencil case, notebooks, phone charm, pens, lolly wrappers, soft drink can (which is actually a container where I hide money), photo frame, breath mints, camera, phone, CDs, USBs, phone, earrings, rubber band.. YES.
3. If you live with someone (or many someones), how often do you find that people have gone through your things?
Er.. not too often, thankfully ๐Ÿ™‚

» Posted By Georgina On March 14, 2009 @ 12:14 am

With friends like these, who needs enemies?

Hahhaha. You should have just said you didn’t keep any photos on your laptop! Ah, poo.

Hahaa you got K back. ๐Ÿ˜€
People always ask James how he got me. ๐Ÿ˜

Delirious crafting is not fun

All the clubs here are boring; I don’t think I want to really get involved in any. O_O though I joined some stupid ‘advantage program’ for 89 dollars. It’s supposed to be.. cool. ._.

» Posted By Georgina On March 9, 2009 @ 5:48 pm

My mum’s never given me life lessons. Just little “warnings” – don’t do this, don’t do that. etc. XD

OWW! What a jab! Hope it wasn’t too serious *cringe* did you lick the blood? HAHHA. Well yeah, if my lip bleeds or something I lick it. But other things with blood.. not so good XD. It creeps me out sometimes.

Crafting =D. I haven’t done any in a while. I’ve been taking up poetry on the train in the mornings. XD

» Posted By Georgina On March 8, 2009 @ 2:53 pm

I’m sick (still).

Aww, poor you! *hugs* at least you drank lots of water, water’s good for you. Don’t forget to get some fresh air at least. If you have a cold, still get some, but cover up!

A bit ill

Awww, that’s cute! Vegetable alphabet soup! You’re making me hungry ๐Ÿ˜›

I hope you feel better soon! Ick to that biology exam! It’s the least of your worries now ๐Ÿ™‚

1. Whatโ€™s your favourite canned soup?
I don’t know.. I have instant packets. MISO SOUP!
2. Whatโ€™s your daily caffeine intake look like?
None ๐Ÿ˜›
3. What sort of words have you tried to spell out with the alphabet pieces that come from soup (or cereal)?
I have not had that in a while.. so I can’t remember ๐Ÿ˜›
4. Name one thing that youโ€™ve done with your cell phone that you would not want your parents to know about.
HMM.. used Twitter? Haha I really don’t know.

So this is interesting…

Woah. 30%. I say fail.. the worst I’ve done in anything is a 40%. For something that actually mattered in the slightest (a maths test.. hah!). But congrats on your B. ๐Ÿ˜€

Aho, and welcome to Clay ๐Ÿ˜€ *waves* James has a read of my blogs.. all the time.. since.. a long time. I don’t mind. But for other “friends” it bothers me. O_o

I feel like answering your questions from your previous blog:

1. If you have a blog and a significant other (SO: boyfriend/girlfriend, fiance/fiancee, wife/husband, dog, cat, etc.) do they a) know about your blog and b) do they read it?
Yes and yes.
2. If you answered yes (or no!) to either of the above questions, how often do you write about your SO in your blog entries?
All the time.. even he has his own blog cos I made him get one. xD
3. How often do you write negative things about your SO in your blog entries?
I don’t know.. but we fight a lot. And I usually make things seem less dramatic when I blog about it. “We’re cool now”. Haha.
4. And if your SO knows about and reads your blog, how much control (or voice) do you allow them to have in regards to the amount of censoring in terms of material that you post up about them or your relationship in general?
He doesn’t care. HAHAHA. He doesn’t mind. ๐Ÿ˜€

When I grow up, I want to win the lottery

Hahha, you’re right. I feel slightly proud of being able to catch a train by myself. Last year I had absolutely no confidence with that. ๐Ÿ˜›

OMG do you get told that too.. I thought it was just some weird thing that lots of guys do engineering and girls would do it to meet guys. ;P But there was an article in the newspaper about women in ‘blokey’ jobs.. so it seemed cool. xD

» Posted By Georgina On March 2, 2009 @ 12:55 am

Oooh, pretty! I love the new layout ๐Ÿ˜€ The green’s a bit funny, but it works! I took a similar looking photo, but it wasn’t so cool. ๐Ÿ˜›

1. If you won exactly $100 million dollars (or whatever currency youโ€™re used to) what would you do with it?
Haha.. buy a new house, pay off stuff, give some to parents, donate some, buy myself awesome things.. and give some to James’s family.. they need it ๐Ÿ™

2. What album (or just a few songs) have you been listening to repeat on lately?
Ahmm.. ‘Retina and the Sky’ by Idiot Pilot, and some Smashing Pumpkins and Anberlin songs.

3. What kind of mp3 player would you suggest for someone who wants something small (less than 10gb) that has a screen, no internal moving parts (i.e. nothing with a hard drive inside) and something that can be used for running (and wonโ€™t be annoying)?
I don’t know.. cos I pretty much want the same thing except bigger and iPods suck. ๐Ÿ˜›

The novelty of chocolate (sort of)

You just made me hungry. Hahha. That’s quite amazing actually. WHO HAS NEVER HAD CHOCOLATE?!

1. Well.. I had pepper rice for the first time last year, and this year I’ve been wanting it so muchhhhhhhh.
2. As above.. not very recent though.
3. Hahahahaha. I don’t really know. But I’m hungry. ๐Ÿ˜›

Always really cheerful

I completely despise it when they have parts to a test like that. The type that really annoys me is:
1.a)i. ii. iii.
b)i. ii. iii. (and seriously.. the list goes up to like, h) or something.)

Yes, who Colin? Colin yes. But being in a good mood is great. If I’m in a bad mood myself, I wouldn’t tell anyone why *shifty eyes*

But, that was rather.. strange.. how she proceeded to guess what happened between you and this certain Colin. Who Colin?

Haha, that’s the thing I’m worried about. Renewing domains. Yeck! I’m okay with one.. I only have to pat $12 a year or whatever.. I think.. no big deal, that’s just 4 pieces of sushi for a year. Wootwoot. But then when I think of making more, that matter comes up ๐Ÿ˜›

“Zomg, I fail”

Huh! Funny girl, that. She’s probably feeling rather ashamed of herself – I’m guessing she knew she was great in high school. I don’t know whether to feel sorry or just.. disgusted?

But hey, I never really did good in high school, and I wasn’t competitive at all (academically, anyway.. I hated that bitch who waved at everyone as if she was friends with them.. bull). I had pretty bad marks so it made sense to say I was failing and I would fail.

Even going to a gifted/talented school where we were disciplined and had our work marked so strictly – I still didn’t do very well.

But back on track, being lying doesn’t deserve sympathy, but being stupid.. depends.

That’s not how you save the world

That was kind of funny but totally true. I’d just donate. Like, pop it into those donation boxes.

You know those lollies you buy, or those badges for cancer, and so on? I buy those because I know ALL the money goes to the charity, and I get a little something too. Even if all my cancer ribbons have gotten lost in my room, I buy from those little things all the time. I find it different from those RANDOM things that donate a PORTION to research.

But yes, I think we should just admit it when we’re buying something we want – and it just happens to support research.

» Posted By Georgina On February 24, 2009 @ 10:11 pm

Can’t believe I’m going to admit this…

Hehee! It’s sweet Michelle. ^_^

I think I found myself today

It sickens me to see any kind of animal cruelty going on, and while I know I am eating a ‘dead animal’, I know I still like my chicken and beef and fish, but for some weird reason I just won’t eat lamb or duck. I don’t know why :S And I still like going to the aquarium..

Doing dissections in school made me sick most of the time. We were told to treat the animals with respect.

I’ve never seen a turtle like that. I quite like turtles. I fed chickens on the school farm. Maybe we just need to see how they’re killed for our own benefit. My English teacher in junior high directed us to a website. Which I didn’t have the guts to look at or to see chicken being killed. I wouldn’t mind being a vegetarian, but I think what scares me isn’t being one, but seeing why I could possibly be one. My mum doesn’t want me to see anything like that, because I’ll apparently be traumatised for life.

It looks like tax season

We get our tax returns in June or after. I don’t know when the tax forms are due. But I only get some stuff back on education things like stationery and books.

1. Do you use any form of tax software to fill out/file your income taxes?
No.. we do the whole stupid form thing by hand
2. Which software do you use and do you find it easy to use?
NA
3. Do you have an accountant that does your taxes for you?
No. Hahaha.. my dad’s pretty good at that stuff.

Digital? Not for me!

Hurk! How dodgy. I’ve never heard of anyone’s experiences with a digital phone, or how good/bad they are. Having another line.. for anything, is annoying. We had one for our fax machine and it caused us hell. People kept sending faxes to the wrong one.. things like that. And it ended up getting really expensive when we hardly used our fax machine. So in the end we used the same number. It’s still crap because after 7 rings, or when we can’t pick up the phone quick enough, the person gets directed to the fax machine and gets this annoying sound. Oh well..

All those problems with the digital sound awful. And it doesn’t sound very worth it either. My parents take advantage of promotions. And we got sucked into this stupid contract for our internet (only 11 months left.. *faint*).. and the internet is sucky. Our provider was voted by a magazine as best service.. BULL.

1. What kind of phone company do you use?
Regular landline
2. What kind of issues have you had with it?
NA
3. How much does your family pay (per month) for all the phone services used?
Er.. not sure. There’s $50 for the internet.. and probably another $20 for mobile phones and landline calls? And that doesn’t count my mum spending money for overseas phone cards..

Post V-Day

Odd, I’ve heard one person say that Confessions of a Shopaholic is good but not great.

haha at least you found a restaurant in the end. I’ve never had that problem.. James and I always go on the quiet days. And he always insists I pick something, even though he wants his chicken curry soup all the time while I always pick the beef rice noodle soup.. we always share because I can never eat a whole meal. Hahaha.

That guy sounds odd and a little creepy. I hate giving money and all.. there was this time someone was giving out books on religion and asked for donations. I gave just 80 cents – it was all I had – and she said ‘excuse me, I hope you don’t mind if I give you a smaller book’. Hahahaha.
