This particularly applies for any really early morning lectures you have to attend, as well as labs, midterms and finals. Especially finals. Granted, these are all more like ‘things to do between 10pm and whenever class starts’ but I’d like to see someone attempt to use one of these as an excuse for being late for something.

• Set your alarm for half an hour after your class begins.
• Don’t go to sleep until 3am and hope the excuse flies.
• Spend all night playing with your Wii, Playstation or Xbox 360.
• Reread the entire Harry Potter series. Twice.
• Decide to learn how to knit and finish your first project: a 9ft long scarf.
• Spend the entire night talking to your sibling/relative/significant other/best friend who’s in a completely different time zone.
• Plan how to redecorate your room and then do so, beginning at 2am.
• Watch the extended editions of the Lord of the Rings trilogy straight.
• Realize that you have 17,000 more words to go for NaNoWriMo and spend the entire night catching up to your word count.
• Start, and finish, an entire Pokemon game (ie. catching all several hundred Pokemon ever existing).
