Last night was date night, hence the lack of a post. It went really well, we talked a lot and he liked his Christmas present and laughed when I told him the story of the sales associates at Toys R Us helping me try to find a model Firebird. Plus, he was happy over the fact that I burned him a mixed cd because he got a new cd player for his car, but he doesn’t exactly have music that I’d necessarily like (ever) in his car so now he does. So we listened to that instead of metal (yay!). Granted, I was not much help (at all) at coming up with places to go and eat dinner because I really generally don’t eat dinner out in the city that I live in. So he ends up calling one of his best friends who lives in the same city asking for restaurant suggestions.

Dinner went well, we talked a bit about school (for me), work (for him), random funny stories of things that we hadn’t told each other yet, so that went well. We ended up splitting the dessert and then while I was in the middle of bringing the spoon up to my mouth, he goes “You know, eventually your parents are going to have to find out about us.” Then there was a clatter and my spoon was on the table. Then he goes “… Not for a long time, don’t look so worried.” But other than that little hiccup in the conversation, everything else went swimmingly.

But umm, yeah. My night went very well. We did talk a lot. Like… His aspirations for the future and with work and him moving out into his own apartment. And then there was me and if I’m going to be going back to work at the same place again this summer, when I’m going to be graduating, things like that. We also talked about Blythe dolls for a bit, actually, because he’d been asking me what I’d been up to lately and besides my stock answers (school, volunteering), it was ‘looking at dolls online’.  Oh, we also talked about my volunteering gig for like… a minute.

Definitely a good night, a very good night.

And now today’s Sunday and I’m going to spending it doing readings for English lit and psychology, yay?
