Say my name, say my name

I’d go with me-chelle..

but in my head its more like ‘mi’ instead of ‘me’ like with emphasis on the ‘i’ – how the I sounds in ‘it’.

Catching up

I get people joking over my height as well.. well specifically the size of my feet (which is due to my height – i’d topple over if i had little feet surely? Lol)

1. If you are currently attending post secondary (or going to be) what’s your major?

Psychology – although i become a graduate in 4 days!

2. What kind of career field do you most want to work in?

Occupational therapy specialising in stroke rehabilitation, and then i might do a phd to become a neuropsychologist in my late 30s or something.

3. And what do you think will be the most challenging thing for you to deal with in that career field?

Before specialising i have to do rotational work for two years, working in all areas of occupational health.. including learning disabilities which I think is going to be difficult.

Oh and if i go into neuropsych.. then learning all the different parts of the brain in detail. And saying them properly lol.

2. When I eat tooti frooties (best sweet ever) I have to eat them in certain order.. yellow, orange, purple, pink and then red.
3. Not so much cute but the best thing he’s done for me.. moved 200 miles away from all his family and friends just to be with me. Although we move back a week on saturday cos i finish uni yay 😀

Anyway hope you’re ok. I think verity has died :(

Pronounciations and Paranoia

Definately day-ta I don’t know anyone who says dahta!

Wow your prof sounds way way way paranoid! In our exams they hire security guards to stand at the entrance to the sports centre.. you have to show your student ID to them as you walk in so they can check your face. Then we have to sit in exam number order.. and theres invigilators (dont think thats spelt right) walking around the whole time.

Hi, I’d like a time travel device please?

Well today.. so far I’ve woken up and eaten breakfast lol.

Something interesting I’ve learned recently.. Approx. 1 in 250 people have developmental prosopagnosia. Which is genetic face blindness. (You can acquire it through brain injury as well). Thats a LOT of people.. and most have no clue that they have it.. because they’ve never known any different.

Lol at your dad. He does come out with some comments doesn’t he? lol

Aw my last undergraduate lectures are this week. My last seminar was last week and it was so sad in a way. Im suprised we’re finishing the same week actually.. but you’ll have your exams quite soon yeah? They give us an easter break of about 4 weeks and then my exams start 21st may.. so a little while to revise :)

My English paper isn’t writing itself…

I wish I had essays only 1500 words again :( I have a 10,000 a 4,000 and I’ve done my 3,000 :/

Hmm citing the bible.. no idea.. can you ask your lecturer?

» Posted By Aimee On March 22, 2009 @ 3:04 pm

I’m not a sponge!

1. 7am on thursday, to be ready to leave by 8am.. to get to my 9am lecture.

2. I wanted to go to Kings College in London, it was my first choice and I needed 3 Bs at A level to get in.. I got 2 As and a C and they rejected me :(

3. Realistic (well the one I’m going for) – neuropsychologist
Unrealistic – Traffic police officer – its not really unrealistic its just not what i’m going to do.. but I would LOVE it. I’d pull everyone over and tell them off for driving incorrectly lol.

4. I had a flu-like infection before christmas and it was the cough that stuck with me for a few weeks after. One day you wake up and its gone though :)

It’s March, that means… snow?

1. It is peeeeing it down here! It was all nice and sunny and not overly cold this morning.. but now.. rain.. and a lot of wind.. being 3 storeys high next to docklands = vast amounts of wind and lots of howling.
2. I haven’t read any original translations – I really want to now!
3. They don’t give flu shots over here unless you’re old or have a weak immune system or asthma. They’re not supposed to be very nice though, make you feel awful for a couple of weeks or so they generally say here.

I think I found myself today

I would have been upset too (plus one of my best friends has a baby tortoise as a pet and shes very very cute and tiny). I couldn’t go veggie though, I like meat too much.. You’re right – we are desensitised to it all.

Obligatory love

My dads hobbies are:
1. His chickens.. he’s obsessed
2. Dog breeding – well I think he’s had to embrace it really seen as it’s his wifes new thing..
3. Spending stupid money on stupid designer handbags for his spoilt brat of a wife.

:/ I don’t think that was very helpful.. sorry.

My hobbies.. well clubbing I suppose and music in general.. going to festivals and whatnot.

I’m putting a picture of the dress up now :)

It looks like tax season

No to all of them. We don’t have to do that over here. I don’t pay any taxes anyway because I’m a student and you don’t pay any if you’re earning less than £6000 a year anyway. Ry’s taxes all come out of his paycheque every week and then if they mess it up somehow (which only ever happened once because he gave his workplace the wrong National Insurance number) then he rings income and revenue and they sort it.

Digital? Not for me!

I don’t have a digital phone, I don’t think they do those over here so much. But we’re with Virgin and it costs us £20 a month for phone and broadband (including free evening and weekend calls). Its very very cheap, and overall its been fine.. apart from the period of time where you’d pick up the phone.. call someone (although it happened if someone called you too) and you’d get a second like dial tone.. you’d be speaking to the person for about 30 secs with no problem.. and then you’d suddenly hear sounds like someone was pressing numbers.. then it would sound like it was dialing.. and then you’d jump away from the phone because it let a really high pitched screech go off in your ear.. Now I don’t get any signal on my mobile in our flat so it was virtually impossible to call Virgin to sort it.. plus the woman in india couldn’t understand what I was on about.. until she called the home phone and got the screeching. They never came and sorted it, insisting it was the actual phone (creating a second line all by itself…) and it fixed itself after a while..

So regular landlines can be a pain the bum too.

Sunday Sex Survey

1.How many months (days? weeks? years??) into the relationship did it take for you or your significant other (from now on referred to as the S/O) to say “I love you”?
well we’d been seeing each other for 2 weeks before we were official.. so about 2 weeks into the relationship (officially) but a month after we met and started seeing each other

2. Who said it first?
Him

3. Was “I love you” said before or after the first time that the two of you had sex?
After way way way after lol

4. How old were you the first time that you had sex?
15

5. How far into the relationship was it until you first had sex with your S/O?
We’d met 6 days before lol. But we weren’t in a relationship, just seeing each other (i guess you’d call it dating?)

6. Who had more experience: you or your S/O?
He’s slept with one more person than me but i’d probably had sex more times seen as the majority of his were one night stands

7. If you don’t live with your S/O, how often do you communicate without being face-to-face?
Live with him

8. After the initial time that you had sex with your S/O, did you spend more or less time with them doing non-sexual-activities?
Lol we used to be at it like rabbits.. 7 times in a day sometimes.. so i’ll go with mostly sexual activities. After 2 and a half years thats definately changed lol

9. Have you ever dated someone that your parents would not approve of (i.e. either by socio-economic status, race, education) how did they react when they found out? (Did they find out or did you just keep it a secret?) How did they react?
Nope not at all. My mum and dad dont have the right to approve/not approve in my opinion.

10. Did you plan the first time that you had sex or was it just a spur-of-the-moment thing?
First time ever was planned.. first time with my ex and first tiime with ry weren’t.

The week’s almost over… right?

Its a confusing system but one of the most democratic in the world (in England ours isn’t democratic in any sense of the word but no sensible party would change it because it works in their favour). But remember, obama won 349 electoral college votes, with mccain with only 162.. and that at the end of the day is what mattered.A lot of people I know have been complaining about how much coverage its had here too, but personally i’m all for it because at the end of the day who became president does have an effect on the UK and its something i’m interested in. If you’re not i can understand its got to be annoying.

Family studies sounds very like my sociology a level and wild module in 1st year at uni. Do you enjoy it? I always found it dead boring!
