My life, currently

University is the one time where you don’t care what time it is – you drink when the occasion arises. You’re on student time after all :)

My, how things have changed

Wait, your parents think your studying too much?!
Never though I’d see the day 😉

Guess what I’m good at!

This doesn’t surprise me at all :)

Say what now?

Don’t worry, my dad is the same way! My sister is his golden child even though she’s failing middle school. Anyway, good luck with finishing school and don’t let him get to you too much!

I don’t fully understand your dad’s criticisms. You’re going into nursing! There’s a serious demand for nursing and it doesn’t pay poorly. It’s just as good as being in a trade. There’s more than one “right” path and it’s not for him to decide what that path is (but I know he thinks it is). Stay strong and finish up. Only three more months!! :)

A Good Weekend

Awesome! I love hearing about your thrifting adventures. Sounds like great deals and lots of fun! We could always use scissors in my house. I need to find some more!

Thrifting, couponing and dolly meet

That’s awesome! I want those Sewing books. I’ve always liked sewing and one christmas a couple years ago my mom bought me a Sewing Machine. I feel in love and guess what she told me, “You can take it back and get something else if you wish.” I said heck no, Thanks! I want to get some of those Sewing books and learn more tips and techniques!

Yeah, coupon policies are crazy but hey! you got 6 cans for .04$ can’t beat that! Even if you had to get them rung up separately!

Smile, don’t kill anyone.

Everyone complains, and I’m dreading because my job will be entry level and most are dealing with customers. I think I’ll be pretty good with customers. From the sounds of it, you seem pretty controlled with dealing with them too. Of course, it’s annoying and not needed but hey it’s the job. =/

Leggings or the new jeggings. I remember when I absolutely hated them! I wear them in the winter timeI love wearing dresses! I normally wear those long shirts (That cover my behind!)with leggings.

I love dresses, but I hate the looks I get sometimes. Like in school, Why are you all dressed up? I don’t know, I woke up andd decided jeans and a t-shirt were boring. It’s like people are criticizing me. Lol, but say they were extrememly short and clevage showing then nobody would ask me. They’d be like *whisper* She’s a slut.

An open letter to (some) Canadians

I came across another Canadian’s blog today complaining about the same thing. I feel the same way about Mr. Obama is some ways. Somethings I can agree on with Obama, with me being in school. In all honesty, I wasn’t in DIRE need for those things. They were perks but I really do not like a lot of the other things he is doing or shall we say NOT doing in our country.

Ohhh…. Politicians… =[

Study study study!

One of the perks of going to a crappy college…. “What’s a Final?” Lol, well this is my second semester at mine and well, I have taken only 2 finals and one was a “Freshman Seminar” class. The other was math, and since that’s my major of course I did well. I just found out last night that my Accounting classes Final will be 40% of my grade. My mouth dropped, was not expecting that…

I want to wish you Good Luck on them all! I’ll be in your position soon enough when I transfer to a University. =]

I’ve got a routine, bonus points for me

Job searching is tough! =[ Unfortunatly, I can’t help you since I can not find a job myself. It is tough but you willfind a job…. eventually. Just keep your head up and keep up with your school work! I think it is better for you to get good grades and work hard in school rather than having the extra burden. I also know that needing a job while still in school is stil a necessity also.

I hope you got to make your cupcakes and they were delicious!

First Impressions x4

I know what you mean! My friend yelled at me because I always try to pick my classes as close as possible. He would rather hang around the college all day, but me I would rather get my classes and go home and do my work there.

Monday happenings

They’re called boyfriend cardigans because “boyfriend” sounds more appealing than oversized :)

Could you have said no to them?

Didn’t your dad say something about disowning you if he ever found insects living in your room? 😛

On sea otters and school

And otters hold paws while sleeping to keep from drifting away! So adorable 😀
A good choice for the new theme.

Oh world, give me your advice (on cell phones)

Telus makes you pay an activation fee for a new phone? That’s kind of ridiculous. You’re currently a customer with them… Why should you have to pay an activation fee? As far as I’m aware, Rogers doesn’t make you pay an activation fee if you get a new phone.

I saw this coming like a predictable movie ending

LOL! Maybe she’ll be awesome? :)

Aquarium Adventures – Part One

I was by the aquarium the same day you were! I was with Everett, helping him with engagement photos. We took some at the old bear displays, at the orca scuplture and with some ice cream from the concession stand.
The guy making balloons was crazy talented. And his cow suit? Ohhh man. So many lols.

“Crazy” isn’t hereditary, is it?

Idk if it’s legal, but I know people do try to do that to their tenants. I see agreements like being advertised on Craigslist all the time.
I can understand why a landlord would want to dictate how long guests can stay (ie, when guests start staying for a month, it’s like their living there too) but that seems a little unreasonable. Check the tenant act.

Don’t throw stones whilst in a glass house.

I enjoy that you explicitly state that you’re pro choice. As if it wasn’t clear when you said you thought that the Cardinal should STFU 😛
Also, ever met any Pro-lifers that are bio majors?

There’s no use crying over spilt coffee – unless you’re me.

Hopefully this pair of earrings comes out easier than the last two pairs! I’m surprised you haven’t completely given up on stud earrings and switched to earrings that don’t require backings.

Reflections

I saw this as someone’s facebook status: “If you think nobody cares if you’re alive, try missing a couple of payments.”
I lol’ed and thought of this blog entry :)
And silly you, people notice when you’re gone. If you don’t blog for a few days people begin to start harrassing you, wondering if you’ve died. A sign that people care <3

I kind of didn’t see that coming…

One popular way of doing Ritalin is to crush the tablets into a powder and snort it. It delivers the dose quicker than swallowing it. I can only assume that it’s done with other prescription drugs too.
But coke is probably more likely…

Good Saturday? I think so!

OMG, I heart your cookie cutters! I hope your pterodactyl ones turn out better than when I made pterodactyl sugar cookies. I put them in with all different kinds and they kind of burnt because they were so skinny and tiny compared to the others (which were hearts, diamonds and other big shapes) :(

Pissed, based on principle

Doesn’t “do you know what can happen to girls?” imply safety concerns? It sounds like she’s more worried about you getting raped because you’re taking public transit on your own. Regardless, crazy aunt is crazy.
Hopefully the rest of your time with your relatives goes better :)

» Posted By Kelsey On February 13, 2010 @ 1:09 am

Can you be jealous of someone you’ve never met?

Wow…
The only way this would maybe make sense is if one of your now deceased relatives that your dad was there to mourn was this cousin’s only living parent. Even then it’s a stretch…
Why would he even talk about this in front of you or your sisters? So not cool.

Boxing Day

I’m having mashed potatoes with cheese as part of my dinner! There’s no gravy left. It’s not so weird :)

1. I stayed home yesterday. I did go out today and make some returns though.

2. Um my love for hot chilli sauce?

3. AA rummage sale, I guess. Bought like three dresses, two shirts and two hoodies. So cheap for AA though :)

TMIs ftw (fun with abbrevations)

You can come to my house and decorate my tree :) Seriously, I need a Kelsey stand in while I study for exams.

All I want for Christmas… is you

30 cm wide for a scarf seems a little excessive….

1. Umm an AA double U neck dress in Black? I haven’t made a list yet…
2. Technically not a charity, but the ANH of our city.
3. Sleeping in and eating breakfast with my family. Or getting to see extended family. Or Turkey and Ham. Or shortbread… this was more than one 😛

Retail therapy and ‘dressing my age’

Lol @ Jinny’s comment. There’s a lot of icky stuff to sort through at Sirens but I definitely have a few favourite shirts from there that could be categorized as “everyday” clothes.
I trust your taste and assume that anything you picked out isn’t as bad as what most people wear clubbing. And I know how you feel about lack of cleavage making it feel like you’re playing dress up. Sucks so much :(
