Today I have in my bag: 2 nectarines (delicious), a container with carrot sticks and celery, a blueberry bagel (without cream cheese), 2 granola bars (1 peanut butter, 1 roasted almond – yum) and a chocolate muffin (bought it at school, it’s not going to last long). And, I mean, I like fruit and vegetables and grain products. But I generally also like meat and I could have snagged some chicken to bring for my lunch today but I just… didn’t feel like it. Which was fairly odd, actually, considering my regular diet that (for the most part…) sometimes contains too much meat products and not enough grains or fruits and vegetables.
And now I’m beginning to sound like the Food Guide that kids get with their middle school health classes or something.
I’m just going to get back to studying now and munching on my carrot sticks.
Maybe your body was just telling you it needs some extra fruit and grains? They do that, ya know!
