- 250ml milk
- 30ml margarine
- 30ml flour
- 250ml grated cheese (cheddar)
- 5ml mustard powder
- 2ml salt
- 500ml macaroni
- Fill a pot ¾ full with water, bring to a boil at maximum heat. Add noodles and stir constantly until noodles are al dente.
- Melt margarine in a sauce pan. Add flour. Gradually add milk, stir until sauce thickens. Stir in cheese, mustard powder and salt.
- Drain noodles in a colander, rinse under cold water. Place noodles back into pot and pour cheese sauce over. Mix until all noodles are coated with sauce and serve.
